Get started

You've been invited to the Recess Block pilot for Westmore families. Setup takes about 10 minutes. During the pilot, the app is for iPhone only.

1. Watch for two emails

• From Apple (TestFlight), with a link to install Recess Block.
• From Recess Block (invites@therecessblock.com), with your personal invite code.

Check your spam folder if you don't see them within a day.

2. Install the app

1. On your iPhone, install Apple's free TestFlight app from the App Store.
2. Open the Apple email on your iPhone and tap the link to install Recess Block.

3. Join Westmore

1. Open Recess Block and create your account with the same email address your invite was sent to.
2. Enter your invite code. It works once and expires after 7 days.
3. Read and accept the community guidelines.

4. Set up your profile

• Use a name your neighbors will recognize.
• Optionally, add an age range and interests for each child. Never their name, birthday, photo or school.
• Choose whether to share a family summary, so families with kids the same age can find you. It's off unless you turn it on.

5. Try it out

• List a book or something your kids have outgrown.
• Request an item, or join an activity.
• Open the app once a day; notifications aren't available yet.
